Welcome
Welcome to West bridgford model car club. West bridgford model car club are based in West bridgford, Nottingham and we currently cater for all classes of electric radio controlled car racing. Primarily we race indoors during the winter on one of the largest carpet tracks in the region. During the summer we move outside, and, weather permitting, race on a smooth tarmac surface and also a multi-surface offroad track at the same venue. Our club events and Sunday series are held at West Bridgford comprehensive school which is only half an hours drive from the M1 motorway.

At WBMCC we welcome newcomers to the sport and our members are always willing to help new people, with their advanced knowledge of the sport of radio controlled car racing, to become better and more confident drivers. Our club has groomed a few newcomers to RC racing to become some of the top drivers in the country, including the current IFMAR Electric scale touring car world champion.

As a club we have seen our membership grow over the years and we also have a dedicated commitee who always strive to keep the club going onwards and upwards.
Club features:

  • One of the largest carpet tracks in the country
  • Tuck shop
  • RC Timing race counting system
  • AMB Digital Transponder system

The results have been updated and been uploaded to the site.  They can be found on the results page.

These are now in the new format using the BBK system which enables you to also look at your results and see how well (or how badly you did) that night.

We have also added an up to date pre-booking list which can be found under the pre-booking page.  This will show you who has booked in for this weeks racing. Please pre-book as spaces are limited to each class and we would hate for you to have a wasted journey.

Hopefully this week we will be trying out the BBK netscreen feature which allows you to view live results straight to your laptop.  You need to have the netscreen software installed and this can be downloaded at http://www.bbksoftware.com/. Download the bbk  rc netscreen  2008-1 software.  Bring your laptop and see the results without having to go to results board!

Anyways get booked in and we will see you at the club on friday.
